The majority of our guests at Bay Farms Bed and Breakfast in Williamsport, Maryland are cycling on the C&O Canal Bicycle Trail all year long, with the most popular months being May until October. If you are not familiar with the towpath, then let me lay it on you. It’s 185 miles of slightly graded gravel trails that go from Washington DC to Cumberland, MD. The C&O connects to the GAP trail to add an additional 150 miles of paved trails ending in Pittsburgh, PA. The C&O also referred to as the “towpath” used to serve as a lifeline for early settlers and runs along the Potomac River, which is beautiful during any season but especially during the fall foliage. Today the path serves as an unforgettable cycling adventure, and Bay Farms Bed and Breakfast is located only TWO blocks off the trail, making it the perfect stopping point after a long day of riding.

We are located in Williamsport, MD at mile marker 100, and our little town loves catering to cyclists! You will find several great options for dining just steps away such as Desert Rose Cafe, Smoking Toad BBQ, & Tony’s Pizza. Most importantly we have secure bike storage and plenty of it! Feel free to do your laundry then grab a cold one at Third Base located right across the street! Check out our package deals and order your private masseuse that comes right to your room! After rejuvenating you will wake up to a hearty biker-friendly breakfast packed with protein, fresh fruit, granola, and more! I know you like an early start, so we cater to your breakfast needs as early as 7am or as late as 8:30am so you can jump back on the trail at your leisure! I also realize that this trip is unpredictable and you may not know an arrival time. No worries, you will be texted instructions the morning of your ride, so you can expect an easy Airbnb-style check-in, giving you the flexibility to enjoy your ride without the constraints of father time.
